Flight Training in your Own Aircraft
If you want to get a licence or rating at Spectrum, but you would like to conduct flight training on your own private aircraft, please read through this page for details on everything you need to know.
Your aircraft must be inspected by Kovachik Aircraft Services, prior to the first flight with an instructor.
Located on the airfield at 5336 Bell School Line, Burlington
You can expect the initial inspection to take about a half day
Price of initial inspection will be determined by maintenance upon inspection.
All maintenance on your aircraft must be carried out by Kovachik Aircraft Services or an AME approved by Kovachik Aircraft Services.
Your instructor must be on your aircraft’s insurance.
Please note that not all aircraft can be used for all licences or ratings (ex. a CPL flight test requires a spin to be done, a Piper Warrior cannot spin according to the POH).
If you wish to start flight training with us in your own aircraft, complete the Student Pilot Application and select “Own Aircraft” from the drop down menu on the application.
