International Student Program (ISP) at Spectrum Airways


 

Welcome to Spectrum Airways! For over 15 years, we have hosted International Students from all over the world - India, the Middle East, East Africa, the U.K. and many other countries! We have a wonderful community of International Students and we look forward to welcoming you to Canada and into the world of flight training.

ISP PROGRAM ADMISSIONS

Please note that all International Students will be enrolled into our Advanced Commercial Pilot Licence (ACPL) Program.


We are pleased to announce important updates regarding the acceptance of International Students at Spectrum Airways.
Please note: Starting November 8, 2024, you must be enrolled in the designated learning institution (DLI) named on your study permit. This means you can no longer change DLIs through your online account. To change DLIs, you need to apply for a new study permit.

To ensure a smooth application process, we have outlined key dates and requirements for prospective students:

1. Provincial Attestation Letter (PAL) Requirement:

  • All students must possess a Provincial Attestation Letter (PAL) and a Letter of Acceptance (LOA) from Spectrum Airways to apply for a Canadian Study Visa.

2. Application and Intake Dates:

  • Subsequent Intake Dates (*Note: 10 PALs will be allocated per intake/application period)

    • Starting Date March 15th, 2025

      • Application Period July 1st - September 31st, 2024

    • Starting Date September 15th, 2025

      • October 1st, 2024 - March 31st, 2025

3. Eligibility Criteria:

  • Only career-aspiring pilots will be accepted into our programs. This includes individuals aiming to obtain their Private Pilot Licence, Commercial Licence, and all other necessary ratings for airline employment.

  • Applicants must provide the following for consideration:

    • Proof of Category 1 Medical - find a Medical Examiner here.

    • Proof of Payment for first installment of flight training.

    • IELTS results - minimum IELTS score of 6.

    • Highschool transcript.

    • A written statement explaining why Spectrum Airways is their preferred choice (within application).

    • Payment of Application fee (PayPal link will be sent to you after application is complete).

4. Notification and Start Dates:

  • Applicants who meet all requirements will be considered for acceptance, but acceptance is not guaranteed. Application fee is non-refundable.

  • Selected candidates will be notified by the specified dates for each intake period.

  • Accepted students will commence their training on the designated start date.

6. Graduates of the Spectrum Airways ISP may be eligible for a Post-Graduate Work Permit (PGWP):
